Refining the Context #1

July 6, 2009 at 11:26 Leave a comment

After a talk with Jozeph Forakis and Dave Mellis (SEE Presentation concepts), I decided to elaborate the context #1 and focus on how to design a light vocabulary and a gestural interface for objects that communicate via wireless connection.

HOW TO REFINE THE CONTEXT #1:
° Mapping  the universal behaviours for networked objects: connected/disconnected, transferring data, complete, error, signal intensity, speed of transfer…
° Mapping the unique behaviours for this specific context: streaming, volume…
° Exploring the gestures we are used to do with light (like blowing a candle or light up a match) and apply them to the interface.

Possible next generation Ipod Shuffle with mainly light interface, reconsideration of the object: sharing device and wireless connection.
